The gate times change according to the seasons and are the same for all of the camps. It’s good to take note of the camp gate times because you can quickly lose track of time when on a self-drive safari.

The best time of the day to head out into the park is just after the gates open in the morning and then again just before the gates close in the evening. When the days are at their hottest, it’s best to stay in the camp, relaxing away from the heat. Besides, spotting animals when the temperature is at its peak is quite difficult not to mention tiring.
